Bronx to AMWA Medical Writers

I am going to try to make it to the American Medical Writers Convention in Sacramento, CA this year.  It is expensive but it is fun.

The Registration Brochure for AMWA’s 72nd Annual Conference is now available! The brochure has all the details you will need to plan your conference activities. AMWA is proud to offer 85 workshops, 41 open sessions, 75 breakfast roundtables, 8 poster presentations, and countless networking opportunities and esteemed presenters. This is an event that is not to be missed!

The registration brochure serves as your guide in determining the educational experience that will best meet your professional development goals at the conference. The brochure includes an overview of the daily schedules as well as a complete list with full descriptions for each session.

Registration is scheduled to open this Friday, June 22. Look out for an e-mail announcement to hit your inbox. Please remember that registrations are processed on a first-come, first-paid basis. Workshops and roundtable placements cannot be guaranteed until your registration and payment have been processed. Please take the time now to review the registration brochure to select your most desired sessions and possible backups.

STUDENT AWARD WINNERS: ATTEND THE CONFERENCE FOR FREE

The entry deadline for the Student Research Award and Annual Conference Student Scholarship has been extended to June 30, 2012. Use this extra time to get your entry materials together and send us your best work. Entrants do not need to be members of AMWA, so please share this information with any promising student you know! All entries should be postmarked by June 30. We look forward to seeing your submissions.

CHECK YOUR CURRICULUM RECORD/Certificate EnrollmenT

Working towards an AMWA certificate? Your curriculum record, accessible in the Members Only section on the AMWA Web site (www.amwa.org), tracks the credits you have successfully completed from AMWA workshops and self-study modules. Before registering for conference, please take a look at your curriculum record in order to determine which workshops at the 72nd Annual Conference will help you progress toward or complete your certificate requirements.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS
