Environmental Science could be a good thing to learn at the American Public University. I would like to apply it to specific problems. Like what will the environment look like if we have a nuclear war, allegedly over Iran and Syria. Things could get a good deal messier.

An Actor''s Life for Me
You could have an actor's life by learning to be an actor. Your first step could be getting a degree in acting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. That might be a big step to take for a Bronx or Harlem NY dude, but I checked it out and these are definitely in-the-flesh programs. You cannot learn to be an actor online, at least as far as I know.

CPR Online, Bronx
Hey Bronx dudes, you can get a CPR certification online. That is Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, in case you got caught in the alphabet soup. There are a lot of entry health care jobs that want you to know CPR, so I think it is worthwhile for a lot of Bronx and Harlem dudes and dudettes to get this course. Can you learn it online, with videos and course material? I don't know, but someone tell me if it worked.

Brits Afraid of No Syria War
Unlike us peaceniks in the Bronx, the Brits are afraid that the mobilization for war in Syria is cooling down.
Within 24 hours of the passage of the UN Security Council presidential statement on ending violence in Syria, passed March 21, expressions of miff came forth from the go-to-war-now crowd. "UN Syria Statement 'Will Give Assad regime More Time to Kill,'" was the headline today in The Telegraph of London. The article quoted various factions of the anti- government operations based in London, raving against the UN statement. For example, Samir Nashar, of the Syrian National Council, said, "Such statements, issued amid continued killings, offer the regime the opportunity to push ahead with its repression in order to crush the revolt by the Syrian people."
In contrast, others expressed moderation. UN Sec. Gen. Ban Ki-Moon said that "nobody is discussing military operations," in his remarks to reporters at a conference in Malaysia today. The Syrian SANA news agency covered the new UN statement by noting that it made no threats to the Syrian government.

Refinancing Your Home Mortgage
The interest rates are low, and if you can refinance your home it could save you hundreds of dollars a month. Home mortgage rates have not been so low in many years.
Now, it turns out that if your home has an FHA or a VA loan it is even easier to get your refinance loan. You owe it to yourself to check out the FHA refinance rates. The paperwork is streamlined and minimal. Saving money by doing the right thing is something a Bronx NY dude can understand.
Refinance can also apply to a conventional loan. You have to check with your current mortgage lender to see if you qualify for a refinancing. Also, find out if Streamline Refinance can help you get the new loan at a lower interest rate if the current lender cannot do it.
Another thing to look at is if you qualify for refinance with a cash-out option. You can get this if your property has increased in value since you bought it. So, check out these options as interest rates continue to drop. They may not drop forever, so join the fun.

Hunts Point Meeting at the Point
There will be a Hunts Point town meeting tonight, March 14th, at the Point in the Bronx NY. The Point community organization is located at 940 Garrison Ave, just off the Bruckner Expressway. Discussion at the meeting could be almost anything, from urban farming fantasies, to what is going on with the Bronx Greenway. It seems a bit surreal, but what the heck, I think I will be there.

Little People
Guest post from: Winston Stewart
Have you ever seen that new show called the Little People in the Big World or something like that? I’m not sure what channel or time it is on, I’d have to check www.expertsatellite.com, but it is a pretty inspiring show. It’s a show about little people (used to be called dwarfs or midgets, I think), and the struggles they face due to their size. The main characters that I saw were this married couple who were both doctors, but they were like three feet tall. It followed them through their day, and documented all the struggles and obstacles they encountered because of how small they were. You don’t realize it, but the world is totally set up for grownups of a certain height and it is tough to get around and maneuver if you aren’t that height. Things like elevator buttons and grocery debate card machines, etc, are a certain height and it was sad to see how much these people have to deal with just to go about their day to day business.

Could the Bronx Go Extinct?
Yes, we in the Bronx could go extinct if Obama goes ahead with the attack on Iran and then on Russia. We could go extinct along with the United States and the rest of the world. It could happen like LaRouche Pac says, because the British financial empire does not want to admit that they are broke. All they have left is the nuclear arsenal, so why not launch it? Great, what a bunch of oligarchical madmen.
